MATCH Eatery & Public House locations to Re-open for Dine-In Service

June 24, 2020 – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) is excited to announce that MATCH Eatery & Public House in Campbell River will re-open for dine-in and takeout service on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Over the past couple of weeks, MATCH has been phasing the re-opening of locations across Canada, starting with Langley on June 8, 2020 and Courtenay on June 10, 2020.
“We are very excited to re-open select restaurants and welcome back some of our team. The health and well-being of our employees and guests is our top priority,” says Todd Pollock, VP, Food & Beverage at Gateway Casinos “We want to thank everyone for their support and patience during these challenging times as we work diligently to safely return to operations.”
Maintaining a clean environment is a year-round priority and it is regular practice to clean all hard surfaces, such as door handles and tables. Under the current environment, MATCH is being hyper-vigilant in our cleaning protocols throughout our properties to prevent the spread of transmittable illnesses, including COVID-19.
While things may look a bit different, your MATCH experience will be everything you remember. Guests will be able to enjoy the spectacular signature patios, each featuring their own bar area, booth and table seating, warm woods and signature red accents, and outdoor fire tables. Daily Happy Hour specials (starting at 4pm) and fan favourites like half-price Wine Wednesday and daily features are also back!
MATCH has implemented a new virtual queue system that will allow guests to text to join the waitlist and safely wait in their vehicles until their table is ready. “This system will allow our staff to properly prepare the dining room for each guest, and ensure there is no congestion at the entrance as guests wait to be seated, ” says Pollock. This system will also allow guests to receive the menu digitally on their own personal device.
MATCH will also launch their Community Super Hero contest on Monday, June 29. Over the next 5 weeks, they are looking for submissions about people in the community who have gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 crisis. Nominees can be anyone from the community – front line workers, volunteers, or a deserving student.
Winners will receive a $100 gift card for Match Eatery & Public House and a $100 donation in their name to the charity of their choice. Winners will be chosen at random.
